Our Story
I’m Mrs. Nina Aggarwal, full time home baker at Nina's Bakery.
I love baking from childhood. However, my passion of becoming a home baker manifested when my family and I were dining at Italy on a vacation. Slowly, a seed was planted and I fell in love with the taste of the home-made Italian bakes.
March 2020, I quit my high paying full-time job at Infosys and started Nina’s Vegan home bakery at our house in Mylapore, Chennai. We experimented at least 100 types of vegan cakes to ensure it tasted more Italian.
My journey of becoming a home baker full time was not easy. More challenging, when the whole world went on a lock down with everyone glued to their home due to Covid and skeptical about eating outside.
I waited 2 months patiently before I sold my first Vegan cake to my friend’s friend who is found of Vegan Cakes. The word of mouth helped me to slowly increase the sale of Vegan Cakes and now I have baked cakes for more than 300 customers out of which 60% of them are repeat customers almost every 2 months
.
At Nina’s Vegan Bakery we only use Olive oil that is healthy for our customers as it adds rich Italian flavour to the bake, which is very unique to what we make. Our customer testimonials are proof in the pudding
